Install the Statuz CLI

Install the Statuz CLI on macOS or Linux with Homebrew, npm, Bun or a shell script. Update and uninstall.

macOS and Linux, arm64 and x64. Every method installs the same statuz binary.

Homebrew

brew install intenseloop/tap/statuz

npm or Bun

Terminal
npm i -g statuz-cli
bun add -g statuz-cli

Downloads the binary for your system from cdn.statuz.app once and checks its SHA-256.

Shell script

curl -fsSL https://statuz.app/install | sh

Detects OS and CPU, downloads from cdn.statuz.app, verifies the SHA-256, installs to ~/.local/bin.

Elsewhere:

curl -fsSL https://statuz.app/install | STATUZ_INSTALL_DIR=/usr/local/bin sh

Not on your PATH?

export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"

npx

npx statuz-cli login

Signs in to Statuz Cloud without installing. Needs Node.js. For local scheduling, install with one of the methods above.

Check

Terminal
statuz --help
statuz init

Data lives in ~/.statuz. Tokens go into the OS keychain (Keychain on macOS, libsecret on Linux).

Update

Terminal
brew upgrade statuz
npm i -g statuz-cli@latest
bun add -g statuz-cli@latest
curl -fsSL https://statuz.app/install | sh

Then restart the daemon:

statuz stop && statuz start

Uninstall

statuz stop

Then brew uninstall statuz, npm rm -g statuz-cli, bun rm -g statuz-cli, or delete ~/.local/bin/statuz.

To delete your data: statuz accounts remove --account <handle> for each account (clears keychain tokens), then remove ~/.statuz.

Where the daemon runs

Personal computers with a desktop session only. VMs and headless servers are refused; use Statuz Cloud there.

Mac app

Optional. macOS 26 or later. Get it from Download.
