  • Any Export Folder - Works with your existing workflow
  • Format Support - JPG, PNG, HEIC, and video files
  • Clean Workflow - Files are copied, originals stay safe

Quick Setup

1. Download & Install Script

Download the script from GitHub. Always make sure to verify the source before running any script. We provide the source and the compiled version, you can check the source and compile it yourself if you prefer.

# Make sure the Action Scripts folder exists in your Library
mkdir -p ~/Library/Scripts/"Folder Action Scripts"

# Move the downloaded script
mv ~/Downloads/Lightroom-to-Statuz.scpt ~/Library/Scripts/"Folder Action Scripts"/

2. Create Export Folder

mkdir -p ~/Desktop/SocialExport

3. Attach Folder Action

  1. Right-click ~/Desktop/SocialExport
  2. Select Folder Actions Setup
  3. Check ✅ "Enable Folder Actions"
  4. Click + under "Script"
  5. Select "Lightroom-to-Statuz.scpt"

4. Test It

Copy any image to test:

cp ~/Pictures/test.jpg ~/Desktop/SocialExport/

Statuz should open automatically with the image! You can also attach videos or multiple mixed media files to the same post.

Usage in Lightroom

  1. Select photos with Shift
  2. Right-click → Export X Files
  3. Choose your export folder
  4. Click Export

Statuz opens automatically with all your photos ready to post!

Managing Files

Once Statuz opens, it copies photos to its own storage. You can safely delete files from the export folder after:

  • Saving as draft (Cmd+S)
  • Scheduling for later
  • Posting immediately

Statuz keeps its own copies and cleans them up after posting.

Works With Other Apps

This automation works with any app that exports files:

  • Apple Photos - Export selections
  • Capture One - Session exports
  • Final Cut Pro - Video exports
  • Screenshot Tools - Auto-share screenshots
  • Any File Drop - Drop files to folder
