Mastodon Instance Support

Connect to any Mastodon instance with automatic client registration

Statuz works with any Mastodon instance - Mastodon.social, your company server, or community instances. Enter the instance URL and Statuz handles OAuth.

How to Use

  1. 1Go to Settings > Accounts
  2. 2Click "Connect Mastodon account"
  3. 3See instance selection interface
  4. 4See popular instances: mastodon.social, mastodon.online, fosstodon.org
  5. 5Find "Custom instance" input field
  6. 6Type custom instance URL: "social.example.com"
  7. 7Watch Statuz validate the instance
  8. 8Get "Valid Mastodon instance" confirmation
  9. 9Watch automatic OAuth client registration
  10. 10Browser opens to instance's authorization page
  11. 11Authorize the app on Mastodon instance
  12. 12Return to Statuz with connected account
  13. 13See account from custom instance in account list
